1. Nature of the relationship
The Teacher provides educational services as an independent contractor. This agreement does not create any employment, partnership, or agency relationship between the parties.
2. Scope of service (Standard Plan)
Private 50-minute lessons, 1 per week (about 4 per month). Focus on conversation, fluency, vocabulary, and Colombian and Latin American culture. Online format via Google Meet.
3. Payments
Monthly cost of 140 USD via a PayPal invoice sent to your email each month. All payments are non-refundable once processed.
4. Schedule and fixed booking
The day and time are agreed in advance based on availability. Your weekly slot stays reserved just for you throughout the month. When you enroll, you are purchasing the full month, not a single hour.
5. Punctuality and attendance
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without notice, the lesson is considered taken. No-shows without 24 hours’ notice are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling. For emergencies reported in time, we will try to reschedule.
6. Cancellations and carry-over
Cancel with 24 hours’ notice. Lessons left untaken or cancelled in time may carry over to the following month, up to 2 lessons, usable only that month.
7. Materials
The Teacher provides the materials for each lesson for your personal and exclusive use. They may not be copied, shared, or resold without written permission.
8. Conduct and data
A quiet environment and mutual respect are expected. Your details are used only for coordination, billing, and delivering the lessons, and are not shared with third parties without your consent.
9. Duration and governing law
The agreement is monthly and renews with each payment. Either party may terminate it with one week’s notice. It is governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.
